We’re pleased to announce that Premier Sport was last week presented with the ‘Continuous Improvement Award’ at this year’s 2014 Best Franchise Awards, held at the Hilton, Milton Keynes.

This is the 3rd year Premier has entered the awards and this particular accolade is given to those Franchisors which have improved their support and service to their Franchisees year on year.

This week we are delighted to introduce another young entrepreneur who is starting out on his business career with Premier Sport. Marcus Lahiff now owns the Premier Sport franchise in East Ham, London. Marcus took some time out this week to share with us his experiences to date, from working in a franchise to owning his own franchise.

As you might have seen via our Facebook page, we sent a survey to our parent database earlier this month requesting feedback about our Chewits Sport Courses.

The results below are a credit to you and your inspiring team of Activity Professionals...

• 99% of parents ‘strongly agreed’ or ‘agreed’ they are happy with the variety of sports offered during the school holidays.
• 96% of parents ‘strongly agreed’ or ‘agreed’ that they find the Activity Professionals (coaches) to be friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.

At the beginning of November we asked the 1000s of schools we deliver PE and Sport in to complete a short survey. We’ve been overwhelmed by the number of schools that have completed the survey and the results so far.

Schools have until Friday 19th December to compete the survey but here’s one stat we couldn’t wait to share with you -

96% of schools have rated overall effectiveness of the service provided as outstanding or good.

As Chief Executive of Premier Education Group, one of my key functions in the business is to control the finances, ensuring what every department and individual does is to budget, and that predicted income is being realised.

I always stress the importance of being in control of our finances to my department heads, whether that’s in the short term (weekly), medium term (monthly) and long term (annually).

We’ve recently featured a number of Performing Arts licensees in this Weekly News Update and we’re very pleased to hear that delivering dance is having a positive effect on Premier Sport business across our network. Not only have we heard that offering dance and sport has increased sales for licensees/franchisees but it’s also strengthening school relationships which is key to long term sustainability.

170 children from Grundisburgh Primary School in Suffolk have taken their first golden steps within the safety of their own school grounds after launching a successful national physical activity initiative called The Golden Mile.
