Franchisee quadruples initial investment – dare to Inspire to Compete?

At the beginning of the school year, Sunderland franchisee, Duncan Donnelly set his sights on an Inspire to Compete Archery competition in 2015. Following an initial investment of £595 for an Arrows Soft Archery Kit, he’s now set to quadruple his initial investment.

Duncan has been offering half day taster sessions throughout this term to create interest in Archery. Following a big demand from his schools, he’s confirmed five SPORT Active clubs and an afternoon of Curricular Archery from January.

More great news, Duncan’s schools will be taking part in his first Inspire to Compete competition in February. He’s also been invited to present Arrows Archery at the next Durham & Chester Le Street SSP teacher training event in January.

Street dance crew and flash mob wows Christmas shoppers in Clacton

Premier Performing Arts street dance crew officially opened Clacton’s late night shopping centre this Christmas by wowing the crowds with their popping, locking and breaking routines throughout the evening.

And then, as if from nowhere, the shoppers looked on in disbelieve as the ‘Rockin’ Robin’ song sounded out before Premier Performing Arts flash mob broke into song and dance amongst the shoppers leaving the festive crowds “feeling all Christmassy” as one person commented.

“Premier Sport are role models” says former pupil, following his ambition into sports coaching...

Ross Mackay, once inspired by Premier Sport in his middle school, has followed his ambition to become a sporting role model to children in Colchester, as he begins his coaching journey with Premier Sport.

This keen sportsman began his love for all sports when the Premier Sport coaching team visited his middle school weekly.

From his own experience, Ross values the importance of having positive role models within the school environment, which is why he has now set his sights on having the same impact on children across Colchester.

Praised for leading by example when it comes to protecting our kids from the sun... #morethansport

Myfanwy Townsend Melanoma Research Fund has recently launched the Outdoor Kids Sun Safety Code, providing specific guidelines for all those who work outdoors with children. An article published by Govtoday praised Premier Sport for supporting the Sun Safety Code.   

Chief Executive David Batch said:
"As part of our ongoing efforts to improve the standard of care we deliver, this summer we introduced the Outdoor Kids Sun Safety Code. The wellbeing of children whilst in our care is paramount and we felt that this should extend to sun protection. We embedded the guidelines into our business practices and now all our coaches lead by example."

Making the world better with a sweater for Save the Children #morethansport

It was Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day last Friday and our head office team made the world better with a sweater raising £115. This total is set to double as the government is matching every pound raised for the children’s charity.
