Apprenticeships

Premier Sport recognises that young people have so much to offer to the working world.

To date Premier Sport has employed and successfully trained 17 young people to become fully qualified coaches through the Babcock Apprentice Scheme. They achieved an NVQ Level 2 in Activity Leadership qualification.

We encourage all franchises to seriously consider apprentices as an affordable and sustainable way of growing their business. Apprenticeships can be accessed centrally through Babcock, using the Premier Sport resource section or on a local level with apprenticeship providers.

Induction Underway

The latest cohort of new franchises have enjoyed a week of sports qualifications in basketball, gymnastics, multi-sport and first aid as part of their induction along with Premier Sport coaches.

Next week will see them complete their core Premier Sport induction modules before being ready to trade at the start of the new school term.

Coach Assessment Process

The new Coach Assessment Process (CAP), replacing the old SEF has now been completed and integrated into the BMS.

All franchises have now been sent a training video explaining the new system. This is available on the Premier Sport resources section.
