Premier Sport is aiming to inspire more young people through sport and physical activity in Scotland ahead of the 2014 Commonwealth Games.
The sport's company successfully delivers more than 20 different sports to over 150,000 children every week and is employed by thousands of schools throughout the UK.
John Crockett, Premier Sport's Physical Activity & Sport Co-ordinator has pledged his commitment to sport & physical activity in Edinburgh and the Lothians by offering a FREE health and physical activity day worth £150 to primary schools in the area. The pledge is part of the government's Public Health Responsibility Deal, meaning that the first schools to apply will receive a Health and Physical Activity (HPA) day completely free of charge.
Speaking about his commitment to health and physical activity in Edinburgh and the Lothians, John Crockett said:
"I want to inspire children and young people by giving them the opportunity to try a diverse range of different sports and activities and make sport more inclusive regardless of age, ability or sex."
Linda Darroch, Deputy head teacher at Bonaly Primary School in Edinburgh said:
"Premier Sport visited our school and delivered a free health and physical activity day back in September 2012. The day consisted of a variety of sports delivered to all of our pupils regardless of ability. I received excellent feedback about John Crockett and his team from both staff and pupils."
