DON'T MISS OUT!

After the news broke earlier in the week that the government are providing £100million worth of additional funding for primary schools sport, we recommend that over the coming weeks you increase your sales activity as the competition will be doing the same. And we have already seen examples of this happening.

"Crucially, the new policy will not be a reinstatement of the SSP infrastructure, with Gove insisting that money goes directly to schools without it being spent on any additional levels of administration." BBC News

Members Continue to Outshine Non-Members

The membership scheme continues to add value to parents and indeed financial rewards for franchisees. Members are spending on average £30 more than non-members on holiday provision with one member spending in excess of £1000 on Premier Sport services in past 12 months.

Premier Sport recently rewarded its members with a £100 gift voucher for a Flight Centre holiday which was communicated to all 7,000+ members in January.

Later this year members will receive a weekend break offer, which they can redeem in various country hotels throughout the UK.

If you would like to promote the membership to your network please email [email protected]

Two Pleasing New Appointments

As referenced in previous communications, Premier Sport are pleased to announce the appointment of Ben Thompson as Head of Communications, working across both Golden Mile and Premier Sport. The move draws on Ben's expertise in his current role and also that of his previous experience.

"Having worked with Ben indirectly for a number of years now, I'm delighted to announce that he is now working across the group, in a role that makes perfect sense given his expertise and the cross-over between the two companies" said Luke Miles.

Ambassador Tastes Success in the Senior Ranks

Premier Sport's youngest ambassador Alfie Hewett (15) is continuing to mix it with the big boys as he went on to win his first ITF 2 Series doubles title last month in Preston.

Alfie has continued to improve over the last 12 months and is now setting his sights on Rio where he hopes to make the senior team and land a coveted gold medal.

UK Active Continue to Add Weight to the Debate

Premier Sport's membership to UK Active has continued to pay dividends as the newly named trade body flex their muscle in the political arena.

This month Premier Sport was invited to discuss Labour's new strategy on PE and sport with other influential stakeholders at the House of Commons.

We've also had initial advisory discussions with global food giant DANONE about how they can implement their 'Eat like a Champ' programme into schools with Premier Sport providing delivery support.

We have also produced a briefing paper to tender for national accounts with Leisure Centre providers, to support franchisees through holiday periods and beyond. This process has recently prompted a meeting with the 3rd largest private provider in the sector.

We will keep you posted on all the events and activities happening with UK Active and the Vanguard group.

Premier Sport Partner Sport England Initiative

Premier Sport have recently partnered with Sport England and UK Active to provide content for their SPOGO platform which is a new digital service designed to make it easy for customers to find (and, over time, book) sports and physical activities. It is a not-for-profit site funded by a lottery grant awarded to ukactive by Sport England. All of Premier Sports Holiday activities will be listed on the site with information being pulled through from the BMS.

Digital Developments

The planning phase of Premier Sport's new, customer facing journey and interface are continuing, with some fantastic new enhancements that will be presented at the National Training Event in April.

Across all our digital platforms we have seen continued growth in visits and interactions.

Change4Life Look to Premier Sport for Advice

Following Premier Sports involvement in an industry planning and strategy meeting with Change4life, at their request we've had subsequent one to one follow up meetings to discuss their strategy for the Summer. We meet again on the 25th to review their plans and finalise how Premier Sport and the Golden Mile can support their objectives and ours.

We will keep you up to date with any outcomes.
