Our environmental commitment

As part of Premier Sport's commitment to the environment, we have chosen only to use FSC accredited paper for all our business needs.

From our internal photocopying at HQ, customer invoices and the envelopes used to post them - to our marketing materials, you can be assured that the paper used is of FSC standards. Our chosen print provider is FSC registered and has a unique code attributed to them insuring that all printed stock that we use is compliant. This forms one part of a much wider CR agenda and environmental policy which will be communicated to all your stakeholders.

500,000 pupil places needed...

The government recently announced a shortfall in the number of spaces available in primary schools. The projection is 500,000 new places need to become available by 2021, which is great news for franchisees as their customer base increases.

If you weren't already targeting free schools, they are emerging weekly and you can download the latest list of free schools opening in 2014 here.

Free schools are all-ability state-funded schools set up in response to what local people say they want and need in order to improve education for children in their community.

The right school can transform a child's life and help them achieve things they may never have imagined. Through the free schools programme, it is now much easier for talented and committed teachers, charities, parents and education experts to open schools to address real demand within an area.

Latest Chewits feedback

Off the back of a busy summer we've received the latest feedback from Chewits during their secret shopper activity. Steve Eastaugh will be contacting franchisees directly who have been visited to discuss the outcomes of the visit.

Overall the feedback has been very positive, the area of most concern is the appearance of the venue and coaching staff. If you are unclear of your requirements for setting up a Chewits Sports Course please email [email protected] and he will answer any questions you may have.

Paul Collingwood well received...

The planned ambassador visit of Paul Collingwood at a Chewits Sports Course in the North East was well received and gained local and national newspaper coverage. Over 30 children spent the morning in Paul's company, learning new skills and the importance of being fit and active.

Premier Sport Franchisee Duncan Donnelly said:

“Just to let you know that Paul's visit to our camp went fantastically well today. The children really enjoyed meeting and working with him and Chewie. Many thanks for giving me the opportunity to work with Paul and Chewits. Hopefully you have had some good positive feedback from Pauls team and Chewits”

The next ambassador appearance will be with Paul Sculthorpe MBE during October Half term.

Inspire literature...

We've had some queries around what Inspire leaflets are available to franchisees and whether they contain booking forms.

Currently you can order the following leaflets from the store:

  • A4 Inspire to Achieve leaflet (with booking form)
  • A4 Sport Active leaflet (with booking form)
  • A5 Sport Active leaflet (without booking form/CTA to book on line)
  • A5 Start Active leaflet (without booking form/CTA to book on line)
  • A5 Stay Active leaflet (without booking form/CTA to book on line)
  • A5 Play Active leaflet (without booking form/CTA to book on line)

There will be additions to the range during the term based on network requirements. If you have any queries regarding the literature available to you please contact [email protected]

Premier Sport payment plan

A number of franchises have taken advantage of our payment plan offer on Premier Sport kit. If you would like to place a bulk order of kit then we can support you by spreading the payments over a three month period.

Please email [email protected] for more information.

Change4life partnership

Following our support of the Change4life summer activity, we've put forward a number of proposals to C4L outlining how we can develop the partnership further which will support franchisees.

We will be meeting with key representatives over the next few weeks to discuss our proposals and will feedback to the network the outcomes of those discussions.

AET academies network

After a successful presentation to Dominic Fenton, Community Sports Development Manager for the Academies Enterprise Trust, we are now in a position to begin contacting franchisees whose territories fall within AET schools network.

AET are the largest organisation of its kind, with 87 schools within its network and a further 200 non-academy schools which it works in partnership with throughout the UK.

As we looked to build our relationship with AET, we will be running pilots in specific areas and Dominic and his team will be communicating what we have to offer to his schools and the wider network.

We will be in touch with those franchisees affected in due course.
