We’re supporting National Obesity Awareness Week with HALF PRICE* for your school!

National figures indicate that 20% of children leaving primary school are obese. That’s why we’ve pledged to support National Obesity Awareness Week and beyond by introducing a special offer!

We know it won’t be a quick fix, so we’re offering your school HALF PRICE to encourage your pupils to get more active.

“The Golden Mile has contributed to the school sports programme we offer. We have no recognisably obese children in school as they are all very active and one Y4 child last year clocked up an amazing 189 miles.”

Rosemarie Bethel, head teacher, Breachwood Green J.M.I. School, Hertfordshire

Save your school £££s...

Schools normal investment is £90 per class but as part of our support for NOAW, your school’s investment is just £45 per class. That equates to just £1.50 per pupil, per year! All you need to do is register now and use promo code NOAW50 for HALF PRICE.

Hertfordshire head teacher praises The Golden Mile

We regularly receive glowing endorsements from schools about The Golden Mile and how they’ve used the initiative to benefit pupils. Head teacher at Breachwood Green J.M.I. School, Hertfordshire is the latest to support the initiative by saying:

“We really look forward to the monthly newsletter to see where we are on the leader table and to see who we are in contention with.

“The children in school greatly value PE and sport. The Golden Mile has contributed to the school sports programme we offer. We have no recognisably obese children in school as they are all very active and one Y4 child last year clocked up an amazing 189 miles. We do not have a school field, our grounds are very small and we use the netball court as our Golden Mile circuit.

“We love The Golden Mile Scheme and would wholeheartedly recommend it to others. My TA has been a star and has been paramount in enthusing others to take part and to improve their capabilities enabling us to reach the levels of success gained last year.”

Ofsted accountability measures for the primary PE and sport funding

The Golden Mile is a perfect ALL inclusive initiative designed to engage even the most disengaged pupils to easily increase participation rates for your school, including virtual intra & inter competition.

Following the primary PE and sport funding, The Golden Mile is used by schools to provide impact measurements and to demonstrate the funding is spent effectively...

The impact of the funding will be considered in terms of:

  • Increased participation in competitive school sport
  • personal health and well-being
  • Improved attitudes and behaviour towards learning

“Inspectors must take account how increasing participation in PE and sport is helping all pupils develop healthy lifestyles and reach the performance levels they are  capable of, when making judgements about the achievement of pupils at the school”

Via The Golden Mile data management system, activity levels can be monitored by viewing data graphs for individual pupils, classes and the whole school.
