Dear parent/child

Welcome to the Summer Term of The Premier Academy.

We hope that you have all enjoyed Easter and The Commonwealth Games?  Who watched Hollie Arnold the Paralympic Gold Medal winner of the Javelin throw, having set a new World Record at the games?

Whilst watching Hollie in her BBC interview afterwards what really stands out about Hollie is the diverse range of sports she participated in as a child. Hollie played basketball, cricket, cross country running, netball and did Start Track athletics. Only when she was doing the athletics and she took on her brother in a javelin throwing challenge was her talent unearthed and she started competing in Javelin at the age of 11.

The Premier Academy commits to supporting children who are showing themselves as being gifted and talented by giving them the opportunity to develop a whole range of skills through a diverse mix of sports.  Like Hollie who knows what your child might find their niche in?  But the main thing for us is that they keep involved and don’t drop out of sport and physical activity like so many others do whom specialise in one sport.

We have a really exciting term ahead and here is a link to see the overview of each week’s session. You will see the breadth of sports and activities that will be happening.

12 Week Overview

Thank you for joining this term and we really look forward to working with you and your child.
