Welcome...

...to all schools in East Norfolk & North Suffolk to Premier Sport’s 1st termly newsletter. We’ll be sharing success stories and information regarding our delivery of high quality PE, sport and physical activity.

Firstly, I’d like to introduce you to our three project managers for the forthcoming school year. These Premier Sport staff members will be supporting the 40+ schools that we’re proud to work in partnership with across East Norfolk & North Suffolk. These staff members have been appointed to support the high quality of delivery we demand from our Activity Professionals (sports coaches).

David Gould – Activity Professional Mentor & School Games Organiser

Following a string of Good and Outstanding Ofsted observations, David has been appointed Activity Professional Mentor. David will pass on his knowledge, enthusiasm and passion for inspiring children in his PE and sport delivery. He will be joining part of the assessment team to ensure the highest standards of delivery are maintained by all of our Activity Professionals.

David will continue organising competitions and tournaments for schools that are not already working with the local School Sports Partnership (SSP). This will be delivering our ‘Inspire to Compete’ programme which is part of our groundbreaking ‘Inspire Programme’. This has been developed to support the launch of the new PE national curriculum.

For any information about organising of intra & inter school competitions for your school, please contact David at [email protected]

Ross Catchpole – Health & Physical Activity Coordinator

Ross has been with Premier Sport for 4 years and graduated from university in July. Ross has taken on the role of Health & Physical Activity (HPA) Coordinator to work in partnership with schools to improve the health and fitness levels of all children in the area.

He’ll be managing The Golden Mile initiative in schools. As part of this project, he’ll be coordinating Base Line Measurement assessments in schools. Base Line Management assessments will provide your school with in depth reports on every child’s fitness and activity levels which is now a requirement of Ofsted.

This assessment will be conducted twice per year, once at the beginning of a term and then again at the end, allowing him to measure the impact of The Golden Mile on children’s fitness levels.

If you would like Ross to conduct a Golden Mile Base Line Measurement assessment in your school, please contact him at [email protected].

Bradley Rea – Area Coordinator

Bradley will continue to work as Area Coordinator supporting all schools and staff to ensure that the highest standards are maintained across the region. He will be in close contact with all schools confirming extracurricular events every half term as well as measuring the impact of all our extracurricular sessions.

He’ll also be providing termly reports on your children’s engagement levels, achievement levels and behaviour. Our team of Activity Professionals will be collated this data following every session they deliver at your school.

If you have any questions for Bradley please contact him at [email protected].

Summer Holidays

We would like to thank all 15 schools for hosting our successful ‘Inspire to Engage’ programme during the summer holiday’s.

Bradley will be in contact regarding plans for the forthcoming school holiday’s.

I hope you’ve found this newsletter useful and would appreciate if you could forward the newsletter on to other relevant staff members at the school such as PE coordinators and office staff.
