We’re fencing our way to the record books!

That’s right. Next week on Wednesday 27th September, Premier and 300 children from Core Education Trust in Birmingham will be attempting to smash the Guinness World Record for the largest fencing lesson ever held! The 300 children partaking will be a mix from Nansen Primary and Rockwood Academy.

This World Record attempt is the launch of Premier’s national fencing campaign that aims to get more children active and partaking in fencing than ever before. To do this, we are aiming to sign up ONE THOUSAND NEW SCHOOLS, all offering Premier’s fencing activities to their pupils.

How will we drive 1,000 new schools?

  • Guinness World Record attempt to raise awareness of fencing and create excitement
  • FREE fencing taster sessions for schools looking to offer fencing to their pupils
  • FREE Wellbeing Healthy Taster Day for NEW schools who sign up and offer fencing
  • An exciting franchisee incentive to be announced soon...

We will contact you with follow up guidance and advice when a school lead is received!

Fencing is a brilliant sport for children to be involved with and contributes to both physical and mental development. It’s a high impact, aerobic workout that builds stamina, strength and coordination. Mentally, it develops awareness of body positioning, contributes to healthy living, it is known to be a stress reliever and helps to improve strategic thinking, focus and intuition.

Get involved with National Fitness Day - 10 at 10!

As part of National Fitness Day (27/09/17), ukactive are holding their 10 at 10 event. This brilliant initiative hopes to get as many people across the UK active for 10 minutes at 10am! This year, ukactive want to get 10,000 schools registered to partake - We need YOUR help to support them.

To coincide with our fencing focus, we have teamed up with British Fencing to develop a 10 minute introduction to fencing. The best bit, you only need some bean bags and hoops to conduct it. Whether you’re in schools next week delivering Sports, Arts or Wellbeing, we urge you to take 10 minutes to help support this fantastic cause.

You can download the resource below and find instructions on how to register the school you’ll be working with below...

Don’t forget to register ukactive!

To help ukactive hit their ambitious target of 10,000 schools active on National Fitness Day, we need to register the schools who are taking part. If you’re delivering our fencing activity next week, please take 2 minutes to register the school with the link below!

Upon registration, you will receive a digital toolkit outlining how you can take part socially on the day. Don’t forget to tag any posts with #Premier10at10 and #PremierFencing.
