Product core training

It was great to get around the country and speak to all franchisees last month. I heard lots of exciting stories and times ahead with some really positive feedback regarding the 'Inspire' programme.

Remember, next year is all about IMPACT and PROGRESS. Ensure all staff members are organised and aware of their responsibilities.

Children’s University

Hopefully you have all had a chance to get your head around the Children’s University website and have made contact with your local co-ordinator after the recent network meetings. This will add value to your business.

Use your time wisely this summer

Although schools will be closed for summer and the phones won't be ringing off the hook, make sure you utilise your time well and complete your forward planning ready to hit the ground running for the new school year.

Complete your SWOT analysis as per core training and start working on how you can turn any weaknesses into strengths and threats into opportunities.

Be fully prepared for September and don't risk losing one or two weeks of extracurricular income due to poor planning - e.g. if you deliver 50 extracurricular clubs per week, priced at £3.50 per child with an average of 14 children per club, missing one week in September could equate to a loss of £2450 (inc vat).

TIME asssociate appointments

So far TIME have made 248 appointments from 6248 calls to schools since Easter, an average of 25 calls per appointment!

If just 20% of these appointments are converted into £4,500 sales per school (half of the sport premium allocation or equivalent to 3 clubs per week) it would yield a combined income of £223,200 to the network at a cost of just £7,440!!

33% of the network have used TIME since Easter.

Do you have the capacity to make sales calls? If so, are you making them? And if not, have you budgeted to buy TIME associates to make them for you?

Are you pushing your summer courses?

With just 2 weeks to go until the summer holidays start are you and your staff doing everything you can to increase numbers?

One franchise already has 88 places booked for a 3 day course starting on 30th July thanks to good planning and early booking offers.

Are you speaking to parents, handing out flyers at summer fayres, putting posters up in local shops, banners up at venues etc?

Please refer to the operating manuals for guidance on how to deliver a fantastic experience. Ensure your courses are loud, colourful, friendly and FUN! Be fully prepared for Chewits spot checks/visits during the summer.

Good luck with the courses and make them happen! Our parent survey told us that 6 out of 10 parents are less likely to book a course which has previously been cancelled!

Holiday courses – CRUCIAL part of your business.

To date there are 9 franchises who have not delivered any holiday courses throughout this academic year. Of those franchises, 5 (56%) are considered as ‘At Risk’ which means their business is losing money!

If this doesn’t make you realise the importance of holiday courses to your business nothing will!
