BREAKING NEWS – Jeremy Hunt to Attend Golden Mile Run to Rio Launch Event

Secretary of State for Health, Jeremy Hunt and Premier Sport ambassador, Duncan Goodhew will be attending the official launch of Active Surrey’s ‘Run to Rio’ challenge with the Golden Mile. To date, a remarkable 140 schools have registered with 40,000+ children set to benefit from daily physical activity leading up to the Rio Olympics.

The launch event will take place at St Polycarp’s School on Friday 29th April and is set to attract huge press exposure. We’re working with partner’s ukactive to increase the reach within the national press pre and post event.

When Licensees, Dan Gyles, Stuart Bartles-Smith, Alla Bennett, Gary Scroby, Ade Osilowo and Steve Purdy first teamed up with Active Surrey, none of them could have quite believed the impact it’s having across all six territories. The PR around this event has the chance of going national based on the impact of the challenge so far, cementing a strong relationship for our licensees with Active Surrey and creating new opportunities within their territories.

Here’s the great part for the rest of you, on behalf of Premier Sport and the Golden Mile, Duncan Goodhew will be offering Jeremy Hunt the Golden Mile FREE to EVERY primary school in the UK from September onwards. Just think of the up-selling opportunities this will generate for Golden Mile licensees, up and down the country.

There’s never been a better time to be a Golden Mile Licensee!!

Chris Kamara Named Face of Summer Campaign

We’ve now confirmed the press launch and ambassador for this year’s Chewits summer campaign, whereby we’ll be providing 10,000 free ‘Inspire to Engage’ days.

The launch event will take place on Thursday 28th April at Franchisee, Michael Johnson’s school in Newham, London. The campaign will be backed by ex-footballer and prime-time TV presenter, Chris Kamara.

Chris’ sporting profile within the written press as well as his regular TV work for Sky Sports and hosting ITV’s Ninja Warrior was an attractive proposition for Chewits and Premier who are hoping to replicate the £250,000 worth of PR value as well as huge brand exposure from last year.

Chris, a Dad of two has certainly overcome adversity throughout his life to get to where he is today. A tough upbringing led him into the army at the age of just 16 before being signing by Portsmouth. Chris’ story will certainly prove an inspiration to the children at Michael’s school.

The Signs Are Looking Positive for Premier Transition

The new Premier Transition website is scheduled for launch at the end of this month and it couldn’t come sooner as you will hear in this video from Danny Boswell... The pilot licensees are itching to get going!

Another positive response from one of our franchisees and indeed his stakeholders.

Following the Easter break, the first 20 licensees will be selected from the list of franchisees that registered their interest in Premier Transition at #NTE16. As discussed during the NTE workshop delivered by Karl Fox, the potential licensees will be selected based on a competency profile and then invited to attend a Directors’ Interview.

If you haven’t registered your interest then you only have a few days to do so by emailing [email protected].

Failing to Prepare is Preparing to Fail!

The summer term is here and historically, it’s the busiest and craziest term of all! With school contract renewals, new school sales meetings, new school budgets, fending off competitors, trying to get into competitors schools, SATs week, Sports days, additional summer sessions due to  warm weather and school under spends... the list goes on!

Therefore, it’s imperative that you and your team are prepared and utilising your time effectively. If you are not doing the £200 per hour jobs in your business, you will be missing opportunities and potentially losing work to competitors.

This very simple time management resource can help you and your staff to plan time effectively to avoid you being stuck at your desk answering calls & emails! This resource is a completed example of what this term may look like for your business. The key aim is only ever to work in the top left box and avoid being stuck in the bottom two boxes.

Help Miranda Get to the OCR World Championships

Franchisee Miranda Rickard has qualified for the UK, European and World OCR Championships in Canada which takes place later this year.

BUT... she needs your help! Miranda needs to raise £4000 to get to the championship; she’s backed by a local MP and will soon feature in the press and BBC spotlight. She’s also hoping for backing from another influential MP who has access to 35 primary schools across the territory. She plans on doing a sponsored obstacle race for all the primary schools, aiming to raise £1 per pupil, per school.

Can you help? Miranda would love backing from her fellow franchisees across the network. If you could spare a couple of pounds, this will bring Miranda another step closer to her goal of reaching the championships.

Pledge via Miranda’s crowd funding page or email [email protected]
