The Government’s White Paper, Education Excellence Everywhere, strategy overview (March 2016) and the intention to make all schools Academies by 2020 is causing concern. Threats to strike over the push towards academisation are being backed by unions as this goes to press – however, I would like to use the key elements, taken from the White Paper, as a framework to highlight key points raised in the paper.

April’s edition of the Schools Newsletter will be distributed to your active schools this coming Monday.

In this month’s edition, we’ll inform your schools about the new Premier Sport Road to Rio programme, and there’s also an article written by Yvonne Gandy, Education Strategic Lead for Premier Education Group. Premier Education Group have created two ‘Road to Rio’ offers ahead of the games this summer. Both named the same but very different in delivery and orientation.

To avoid confusion for stakeholders, we’ve created a landing page displaying both the Premier Sport and Golden Mile initiatives. You can point your schools in the direction of this page.
