Our Core Values...

The Core Value Challenge - “WOW” us and WIN £250!

We are excited to announce the launch of our brand new Core Value Challenge! This is a great way for franchisees to engage their Activity Professionals. We’ve trialled this at Head Office; it’s great fun, builds team morale and inspires you to remain above the line at all times. We’ll start with Core Value #1 this week – Be happy, have fun and give joy.

So, here’s how it works and what you need to do...

  1. Create a WhatsApp group and add all of your Activity Professionals to it – name it something like “PEG Staff”
  2. Send a message (or video of yourself) to the group, stating the Core Value of the week (in this case, it’s week 1 so Core Value #1) and ask the Activity Professionals to each send you a video of themselves stating how they have met that Core Value that week. The cut off point is always Friday at 5pm. Videos must be no longer than 1 minute.
  3. Once your Activity Professionals have submitted their videos, you will need to pick ONE video that’s best and really stands out to you. Forward this ONE video to Gemma in our Marketing department via WhatsApp on 07964 631823 or via email [email protected] to put the Activity Professional forward for our weekly competition
  4. HQ will then judge all the videos we receive and pick the top 3
  5. The top 3 will be added to Facebook and Twitter for parents to vote on. The Activity Professional video with the most likes, favourites, etc will WIN £250!

So, the deadline for Activity Professionals to send their video to their franchisees is 5PM Friday 3rd June. And the deadline for franchisees to forward the best ones onto head office is 9AM Monday 6th June. When we announce the overall winner, we will also give details of the next Core Value Challenge.

Time to be happy, have fun and give joy, everyone!!!

“My Personal Best” Initiative is Launched!

With English children’s fitness levels on a downward spiral (declining at a rate of 0.95% annually), Premier Sport have developed a brand new fitness initiative, backed by ukactive, to help combat this issue.

Last Thursday (19th May), the initiative was launched at a North London school by Premier Sport and ukactive, accompanied by Duncan Goodhew MBE and GB athletes Romaine Bailey and Lee Shinkin.

Schools in Islington and Camden were given the chance to sign up to the brand new initiative, which involves four bleep tests over the space of a year, which will help to identify when children are most inactive.

Educational Excellence Everywhere...

Every child and young person can access high quality provision, achieving to the best of his or her ability, regardless of location and prior attainment of background’

The Government’s White Paper, Education Excellence Everywhere, strategy overview (March 2016) and the intention to make all schools Academies by 2020 is causing concern. Threats to strike over the push towards academisation are being backed by unions as this goes to press – however, I would like to use the key elements, taken from the White Paper, as a framework to highlight key points raised in the paper. Let’s also take time to reflect on Physical Education and Sport (PESS) and the use of external providers in schools and academies...

Core Value #10 - “Be outstanding and passionate in everything we do”

Core Value of the week is number 10 – “Be outstanding and passionate in everything we do” – it’s so important to be passionate in everything you do.

When you are passionate about your products and services, this reflects in your work and inspires others to get involved.

Here are 3 tips on how to reignite your passion for your work:

  1. Evaluate:

Evaluate your workload, figure out what has worked in the past and what hasn’t, think about your opportunities and threats, and make a plan to drive your business in the right direction
  2. Invent:

Get creative – after evaluating your options, it’s time to invent new solutions. Think outside of the box and come up with exciting and effective strategies
  3. Inspire:

Once you have come up with some great new ideas, you will want to shout about them! You will need to show your passion to inspire your team with the ideas you have. Share your ideas with your team, get their feedback and take on board any advice you receive

Once the whole team is inspired and involved, they will naturally perform outstandingly and with passion for your business!

Our Core Values...

#8: Work smarter not harder

Fancy an extra £60k just in Performing Arts?

What’s the hardest time to get curricular contracts? A.M.
Why? Because it’s Literacy and Numeracy time.
What can we do that relates to this in A.M and fill our day? Drama.
Could this be used to leverage PM only sport premium work? YES!

We have split this strategy into two phases to make it really simple to insert into your current plan...

Phase 1
2 x clubs (£3k) x 10 new schools = £30,000

Phase 2
Upsell to your 10 new schools an AM curricular (Drama) session
10 x £85 x 36 weeks = £30,600

Seems simple, hey?
