New Print Supplier

We’re very pleased to announce we’ve appointed a new print supplier to manage all our print requirements across the group.

Integrated into our existing Shopify platform, the move will provide a number of benefits to the network, not least reduced cost! Whilst the Irongate platform had functionality requested by the network, it has been used sparingly and we felt that all the network would benefit from cheaper print and improved customer experience.

All prices across the board have been reduced and in some cases, there’s over 30% of savings on items across an improved and broader range of products.

Some additional benefits of this new relationship are...

How Leigh Centurions and Premier Sport Made a Difference...

In the video below, Andy Heald summarises our recent NTE and introduces the story of how Premier Sport made a difference with the help of Leigh Centurions. The outstanding work done by Activity Professional Jamie Clarke really does outline the themes of the NTE - watch below!

Premier Sport have been working with Willow Grove Primary school since 2008, providing a broad range of opportunities to access sport and physical activity, both in and out of school every week. This partnership over the years has seen brilliant progress and in recent provision and quality reviews with the school we identified that to further enhance school improvement and progress of the children, that the agreed impact of our provision should be built around creating more opportunities for the children to access more competitive sports and activities.

In October of this year, Mr Clarke (Premier Sport Activity Professional) and Mr Carr (Willow Grove Teacher and PE & School Sport Subject Leader) identified the competitions they would like to enter the children into – in discussions with the children it was agreed that the school was to enter a team into the Wigan School Games Tag Rugby competition. The children practiced with Mr Clarke, and over the weeks learnt discipline, tactics, and most importantly, team work and performance – the children were very proud of their achievements and could not wait to represent the school in the upcoming event!

Golden Mile Persistence Pays off...

Back in 2014 GM Director attended a CSP meeting with franchisee Andrew Overhill, at the prestigious Millfield school to showcase Golden Mile.

At the time the relationship between Andrews local School Sports partnership and CSP was non-existent as I’m sure many franchisees can relate to, although I’m glad to say through GM this trend is becoming less consistent.

Through sheer determination and being RELENTLESS Andrew is now starting to receive his just rewards. Somerset Activity & Sports Partnership have gained £4k worth of funding from the Somerset Public Health Team to roll out the Golden Mile to targeted schools via the National Childhood Measurement Programme (NCMP). The funding will support the introduction of the Golden Mile in to 80 schools, to include ‘Base Line Measurements’ across multiple franchised territories, creating a MASSIVE up-sell opportunity for not only Andrew but other local franchisees as well as building key, strategic partnerships.

This fantastic news coincides with more success, seeing Golden Mile reached its very own milestone in January clocking up 1 MILLION MILES within the calendar year!

A Golden WELL DONE to Andrew Overhill for his relentlessness which leaves me with one question... Are you being IRRISISTABLE and IRREPLACEABLE in YOUR schools?

Help us Spread the Premier Joy this Red Nose Day!

PEG HQ are holding a sponsored fancy dress day in the office, as well as a healthy bake-off! Are you going to join us?!

We’re aiming to raise £500, to go to Comic Relief - £500 could provide ten homeless young people in the UK with a night’s hostel accommodation, two hot meals and one-to-one support. But we’d LOVE to exceed this amount!

We’d love to show how PEG can pull together, and help people less fortunate than ourselves - please donate today, and help us raise money for such a deserving cause.

You could even go a step further and organise a fundraising event for your franchise! The link to our fundraising page is below - please feel free to share this with your friends, family, and on your social media accounts.
