Since 1999, Premier Sport has transformed itself from a one man band to a nationwide business with 92 territories (with another 11 pending) – with none more than an hour away from any child in England. And its first ever franchisee is still very much part of the business.

Franchisee Elliot Anderson dropped in to a new school within his territory on the off chance of delivering extracurricular activities.

After securing 5 minutes with the Head Teacher, he was told, ‘no thanks’ as the school currently provides 5 extracurricular clubs; each delivered by 5 different competitors.

Franchisee, Jan Miller has been working with the sporty & non-sporty pupils at Stanford in the Vale Primary school delivering an 8 weeks Athletics programme in preparation for the Oxfordshire Schools Quadkids Athletics competition. The Golden Mile has also been used to compliment Jan’s ‘Inspire to Compete’ Athletics programme at the school.

Have a read through the attached document for more information regarding ’teaching schools’. For the past 12 months we have been advising you to build strong links with these schools in an attempt to become a delivery partner. In 2016 these schools will play a big part in the governments ‘school-lead’ model and will be supporting other local primary schools.

There are over 1.5 million families on the Change4Life database and the national campaign will be driving them to the website through its regular monthly e-shots.

Throughout our network, the ‘average’ revenue (this academic year to date) generated per school is £4,829, a 29% increase on last academic year. This demonstrates the power of the ‘Inspire Programme’, coupled with the ring-fenced sport premium funding.
