Want to use social media to promote your business locally?

Following feedback from the recent marketing planning training, a number of franchisees have indicated they would like access to social media to promote their business on a more localised level.

Delivery of Gymnastics – important message about MOS

Please be aware that The Introductory of Gymnastics (Level 1) qualification is for gymnastic sessions being delivered IN schools ONLY.

An Intermediate (Level 2) qualification is required if you are delivering Gymnastics in holiday time, evening and weekend courses.

GM proving golden for Gary

One of the newest Golden Mile (GM) licensees, Gary Scroby has already managed to liaise with a number of key stakeholders in his area bringing them all together in one room - Sport Development Officer at Surrey Heath Borough Council, School Games Organiser at Active Surrey, PE Teacher at a 5 form entry school and GM business manager, Karl Fox all joined Gary to discuss the potential impact of GM.

Research project given green light by University Ethics board

The joint Premier Sport and ukactive research pilot has been signed off by the University Ethics board and the overall feedback has been extremely positive. The data from this project will provide us with invaluable data over the next 12months and beyond. This final stage in the approval process means we can move forward and implement the pilot from September.

Welcome Courtney

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Courtney Sinclair as the newest member of staff at head office.

Courtney joins the team as Finance Assistant and primarily will co-ordinate the franchisee accounts and payments.

‘Blame it on the Boogie’ dance show supports children’s cancer charity

On Sunday 13th July, Premier Performing Arts, Chesterfield held their first summer dance show ‘Blame it on the Boogie’ with all proceeds on the day going to ‘Kids’n'Cancer UK’ charity. The event was held at Speedwell Rooms in Staveley with 45 young dancers and parents proudly raising money for the charity.

Value for money – Are you and your customers getting it??

Danny Melling received a picture (left) along with a quote from Marketing Manager, Francisco this week, saying:

"It’s unwise to pay too much, but it’s worse to pay too little.

When you pay too much, you lose a little money — that is all. When you pay too little, you sometimes lose everything, because the thing you bought was incapable of doing the thing it was bought to do. The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot — it can’t be done.

If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better."
