After committing to the Premier Sport ACE programme, five students were left in limbo following the unexpected withdrawal of the educational partner. These young people were facing the possibility of no longer being involved with Premier Sport, and the need to look at other options after their GCSE’s.

Franchisees, Darren Dicks and business partner, Shane Wright dealt the first blow this Monday to infiltrate the 50 primary schools in York which have previously been impenetrable over the past 2 years.

After initially approaching key stakeholders, such as the School Sports Partnership (SSP) and local MP’s both with similar responses “Thanks but no thanks”, Darren’s message to other Golden Mile licensees is very clear, “Don’t give up, believe in the impact that the initiative can have and find another way as some stakeholders may feel threatened by the Golden Mile offer”.

Peter lives in Bognor Regis Hampshire with his wife and children. He’s launching in Bognor Regis this month after first making contact with Premier Sport a year ago. Peter attended a Discovery Day in March after receiving regular communications from the Head Office marketing team and hearing about the ongoing growth of the Premier Sport network.

In September, head office received a high number of requests from some unhappy parents demanding to be removed from the SMS (text messaging) Premier Sport database.

Given that we don’t currently using SMS to communicate with our stakeholders, it seems as though franchisees are contacting parents via text messages. The main issue is that parents are receiving text messages (SMS) from ‘Premier Sport’ without being offered the opportunity to unsubscribe. It’s also important you avoid sending ‘subscribers’ too many messages, this will only encourage parents to ‘unsubscribe’.

You should already be in discussions with your accountant to finalise your annual accounts. You must submit your accounts in the correct format to [email protected] before 30th November 2014.

This should be a pretty straight forward process as you should have completed and submitted two terms worth of management accounts already.
