Frankie Worthington has spent 15 hours over the past two weeks developing a recruitment process for PPA licensees. As part of the process, a generic job advert for ‘experienced performing artists’ was posted in ‘100 Club’ territories. Frankie received over 1,000 applicants across 18 territories - indicating that the recruitment of experienced PPA staff shouldn’t be a barrier with the correct recruitment process in place. She is now supporting licensees through interview processes.

Why GM licensees should approach their local council...

For those licensees that haven’t approached their local council, here’s why you should...

A fellow licensee is currently negotiating a deal that will actually see their business receive funding to help achieve the outcomes listed in the ‘Read More’ section below. These will inevitably open doors to brand new target markets as well as large numbers of schools.

The council is also keen to explore how they might assist in incentivising schools to engage with The Golden Mile.

Exciting times for this licensee and not forgetting they will be getting paid for the privilege... watch this space!

10 year franchisee reduces delivery hours and sees immediate
68% growth!

Owen Paynter, franchisee since 2004, has increased the size of his business by 68% in one term as a result of reducing his delivery hours for the first time in 10 years. This has now given him precious time to work ON his business rather than working IN his business.

Here’s what Owen had to say:

“It’s been a great start to the year, making the decision to reduce my coaching hours, take on an area co-ordinator and dedicate more time to the business has been hugely beneficial. I've had time to do all the things which were previously being put to one side and it has had a big impact on all aspects of my business.

Do you want Olympic gold medallist, Duncan Goodhew to visit one of your schools?

If you would like to reward one of your schools and gain local press exposure with a visit from Premier Sport ambassador, Duncan Goodhew, contact us now.

All you have to do is email [email protected] with a choice of three dates after Monday 2nd March for Duncan to choose from. We’ll then liaise directly with him to confirm one of your dates.

Please note - Duncan’s time will be allocated on a first come first served basis and we cannot guarantee his availability for either of your chosen dates. Please bear this in mind when discussing the possibility with your chosen school.

Help Courtney resolve your finance queries quicker...

We’ve recently had a number of franchisees calling Courtney chasing payments because schools are saying they have paid an invoice. Before we can reconcile your payment, we require the following information from you -

  • Method of payment (BACS or Cheque)
  • Total payment
  • Date payment was made

The most common outcome is schools have passed invoices onto the local council to pay and therefore payment is taking longer to reach us meaning longer to reconcile.

This is also a great opportunity to remind your school that our preferred payment method is BACS and all remittance advices should be sent to [email protected]
