County Education Advisor for PE wowed by our offer – are you demonstrating IMPACT?

‘It was great to meet you both and I was truly impressed with the robust nature of what you have to offer. I really didn’t believe this existed in many ways but there has obviously been some excellent discussions and reflective practice in the past leaving you with what looks a great offer and product. I certainly believe we can work together in the future.’

Sport or education? Can one word really make all the difference?

Swindon franchisee, Jan Miller is currently receiving sales mentoring support from Glenn Hoy and TIME associates as part of a new sales drive. Jan is having lots of success in setting up meetings and has a conversion rate of 95%. Jan said a key change was using the word education instead of sport!

Jan astutely noticed that the receptionists were ‘turned off’ when she mentioned she was from Premier Sport, However, when she changed her approach to say she was from Premier Education, she immediately broke down the barriers and increased the number of meetings arranged.

What’s your approach?

The price is right

How does your pricing compare against the North West?

During the recent network meeting in the North West, pricing structures were compared to ensure a level of consistency throughout the network and that nobody is ‘under pricing,’ which could affect everyone else.

The power and IMPACT of Base Line Measurements

Over the last few additions of the Weekly News Update we’ve highlighted the following three case studies of how licensees are benefiting from the Base Line Measurement service (BLM) –

  1. The Golden Mile via its ‘Base Line Measurement’ tool has generated, for some licensees, well over the average spend per school, just by delivering these days to existing customers, which is the equivalent to a substantial one year contract in a school.
  2. How BLM days have gained referrals by Head teachers to multiple cluster meetings.
  3. Assisting licensees to penetrate competitor schools that were previously ‘hard to access’ by gaining EC clubs thus increasing the chance of taking over that business.

Performing Arts licensee underlines valuable Support Day

This week Frankie Worthington travelled to Watford and delivered a Support Day to licensee Jason Coughlin. Jason’s objective from the day was to create a growth strategy and indentify how this can be achieved. With Frankie’s guidance, we’re happy the Support Day was a resounding success!

Jason comments; “I met with Frankie on Tuesday this week and as always found it very useful tapping into her knowledge and setting up a plan of action to increase the workload within my territory. Frankie talked through the new exciting ‘showdown competition’ and how this brand new product is a massive tool to hit existing as well as new schools. Once again, a day very well spent!”

Do you want to benefit from Frankie’s valuable Support Days?

As of the 1st April, Performing Arts licensees will receive only one Support Day FREE OF CHARGE as part of the license agreement. After this date, Support Days will be priced at £250 + travel.

On Call!

The franchisees in the North West had a productive network meeting last week, culminating in a friendly competition to see who could arrange the most meetings in one hour. The competition followed a discussion about the new sales dashboard and strategy.

The winner was... Danny Melling, who managed to arrange a meeting in just three calls and later securing a second meeting from a call back.

Andy Heald managed to secure a meeting from a call back too.

Following his victory, Danny commented; “I focussed clearly on referrals and previous schools, as part of my calling strategy. All three meetings arranged by Andy and I were using that method.”

Since the start of the school year, Golden Mile has seen 75,223 miles of physical activity uploaded to the system, and the majority of this was uploaded by our licensed schools. This is a 75% increase on the same period last year, keep up the good work!

Great news for ukactive and activity providers – ‘physical activity should be the focus moving forward’

Please take some time to take a look at ukactive’s Policy Briefing on the Health Select Committee’s report on the impact of physical activity and diet on health, as well as a copy of the full report itself.

As you will see from the briefing, not only are the Committee and its chair, Dr Sarah Wollaston, firm in their conclusion that physical activity should be the focus moving forward, but that all health bodies, including the NHS, must now take on the responsibility to turn the tide on inactivity and get us all moving more.

As activity providers, suppliers and advocates, today’s report could not be a more positive outcome. What it does is to put activity providers into the driving seat of health policy for the next government. It also closes off the issue that obesity and physical activity are seen as two sides of the same coin.

This week, CEO David Batch and Group Director Luke Miles met with the Department for Education to outline Premier’s plans to roll out fitness testing across schools throughout the UK. Following positive feedback, we will be presenting the findings of the 12 month pilot to the DfE and other government departments in September.
