It’s been a busy but productive few weeks at Premier HQ and we’re very pleased to announce a number of exciting new opportunities to support your business over the coming months.

Firstly, we’ve secured the support of Darren Campbell MBE to officially launch our Inspire to Engage programme. Darren is in the top six British sprinters of all time and has 21 medals to his name, including Olympic gold for the 4x100m relay in 2004, and Olympic silver for the 200m at the 2000 Sydney Games. He is a great advocate for the brand and the new programme which he officially launched at Sandringham Primary School in Newham.

Are you protected? Check now!

It has been brought to our attention from our server management company that some franchisees maybe operating their email accounts and internet browsers without antivirus protection on their computers.

This could potentially have devastating effects on your business if left unchecked. Viruses can penetrate your software via email and internet resulting in software failures. Your emails can become blacklisted and fail to reach intended recipients. This too has a wider effect on all the @premiersport.org and @premier-education.com domains thus affecting other mailboxes throughout the organisation.

Can you please ensure that if you are NOT protected you get the adequate provision immediately and update the security annually or as required.

Art of communication! Are you thinking outside the box?

How do you communicate with your stakeholders? Why not TRY videos, Whatsapp, voice memo’s and short videos - Danny’s had a go, now it’s your turn...

*Remember, under no circumstances should you record videos of children when in schools. This is unless you have prior written consent from the head teacher.

The Finance department spent one day this week with the latest cohort of new franchisees / licensees talking about key processes for their business.

The power of Golden communications...

This time last year, following our Golden Mile central communications, Director Karl Fox negotiated a deal on behalf of Northumberland franchisee Steve Hoey with Programme Manager & School Games Organiser (SGO) of the Tynedale PE & School Sport Programme to purchase the Golden Mile. Not only did this generate a substantial amount of revenue for Steve (year 1 licensee at the time), it also created what has proven to be a very important relationship with a key stakeholder.

The initiative has gone from strength to strength and following Golden Mile’s National Obesity Awareness Week Competition in January, one of Steve’s schools, Slaley First, came second nationally for the amount of miles per pupil completed within this week. Steve presented their ‘Tackling Inactivity’ plaque in assembly which thrilled SGO James.

Value your time

Hopefully you’ve all now watched and read the feedback from 100 Club members that attended last week’s celebration day? Given the huge impact from the day, the attending franchisees chose to put a high value on their time (circa £500 - £5,000 per hour) - some 100 Club members have already secured business contracts worth £15,000 as a direct result of their learnings.

Some 100 Club members chose not to attend or were too busy working in their business - these franchisees chose to deliver a session instead, putting a value of £8 - £10 per hour on their time!

How do you measure the value on your time?
