Once your Activity Professional’s DBS number has been generated, you have 19 days to apply for the ‘Update Service’. The cost of this subscription is £13 per year. This negates the need to get multiple DBS checks for other governing bodies or authorities i.e. councils. It’s well worth the investment!

During a recent Support Day from James Jennison, franchisee Jeff Abram and James discussed the various types of Inspire to Engage holiday courses he should be considering. The model that really excited Jeff was school funded courses. They outlined how the courses would work for parents, schools and business owners using the following method;

Employers and other organisations can check an applicant’s DBS certificate status instantly online. The Update Service will also allow applicants to keep their DBS certificates up to date via the website.

The 100 Club have collectively sold more than £200,000 worth of business since the celebration day in April. Due to this enormous success, your Franchise Champions have requested that Danny Melling arrange a Support Day on the 26th August for anyone who didn't attend the event in April. The day will be led by James Ashford and the price would normally cost £399pp. Due to the impact from April’s event, we’ve pledged to Match-Fund the event, meaning you will only pay £199pp. Details to be released in next week’s News Update.

Premier Performing Arts are delighted to announce we’ve launched our very own WordPress site following feedback from the network. This popular online forum has been setup for licensees to share good practice, resources and support.

We’ve had 170,000 unique visitors browsing our websites from September-May. These are people that are searching for PEG that have never visited previously.

We’ve invested £8000 in sponsoring next Tuesday’s ukactive event ‘Generation Inactive: How do we get kids moving again?’. We’ve also ensured key individuals attend the event on your behalf, including Ambassador Duncan Goodhew and PE consultant, Yvonne Gandy. The event brings together members, partners and stakeholders to network with key decision makers, engage in discussion, and keep up-to-speed with developments that affect our sector.

Olympic gold medallist Duncan Goodhew MBE took to the pool yesterday along with the pupils at St George’s RC Primary School in Taunton for an inspirational once-in-a-lifetime experience.

The day itself was arranged by the Marketing team on behalf of franchisee Andrew Overhill, which included the significant investment in Duncan’s time as well as creation of pre and post press releases to his local newspapers.

This year, Change4Life and Disney are back, working with ukactive to encourage families and kids to team up to shake up with their favourite Disney characters!

Change4Life require a commitment from our network to run free events aimed at children and families from July to the end of September 2015. These can be taster sessions, special events and offers encouraging everyone to get active in their local community. For example family fun days, open days, taster sessions or other brilliantly creative and imaginative activities aimed at children and families. You could provide offers and discounts to attract new members. We’ll also need you to keep a record of how many people attended your Change4Life events and provide case studies for us to promote the campaign during and after the summer.
