National press campaign results in unprecedented exposure for your business...

This summer’s promotion, in conjunction with Chewits, reached an audience of over 10 million last weekend as we teamed up with the Daily Star newspaper.

Please click the article image to view the TV advert that featured on Channel 5 last Sunday morning, a channel that averages 7.8 million daily viewers. This televised advert appeared ahead of the printed adverts in Sunday and Monday’s Daily Star respectively. The Daily Star is read by 1.7 million readers and the Daily Star Sunday is read by 1.1 million.

It’s now over to you to capitalise on this exposure and retain customers for next time.

Do you need more support materials? We’ve had a number of franchisees request additional material to support this promotion. If you would like additional resources please email marketing.

Staff retention vs. cost of replacing staff

Did you know, replacing staff costs Britain’s businesses £4billion per year?

In relation to our businesses, we can calculate the costs associated to recruiting a new member of staff at £5,000 per year; this includes advertising, recruitment and induction costs.

If you have 10 members of staff and a churn rate of 20%, you would lose two people each year, costing you ‘at least’ £10,000. This doesn’t include the costs incurred as the new staff reaches optimum productivity levels. Let’s say, for example, that’s another £10,000 each, making £30k in total.

If you were to invest this £30,000 into your existing staff, it would work out at £3k per person extra, per year. This article suggests that the average ‘Sports Instructor’ in Britain earns £17k per year. How does your business (and competitors) compare to this?

You can afford to reward your existing staff by increasing your prices. Use the ‘cost based mark up’ tool on the BMS resource section to help you set new pricing and pay structure which should be implemented into your business plan strategy.

PPC Campaign & Landing Page – make your business more discoverable to customers...

The competition for visibility in search engine results is highly competitive. You should make your business visible by investing in our new Pay Per Click (PPC) Google campaign.

The PPC campaign provides you with the advantage of setting your budget to control costs and means you only pay when an interested person clicks on your advert. Also, you can evaluate your campaign results much quicker and more efficiently in comparison to other media, e.g. magazine advertising.

This package also includes a bespoke web landing page allowing you to capture the visitor’s information through your PPC or external communications. You’ll get to add bespoke content that will be displayed on your landing page.
