Premier’s consideration of Spiritual, Moral, Cultural and Social Dimensions...

Dear Headteachers,

It seems like yesterday we welcomed you back after October’s half-term and now we’re in December, Christmas panto is just around the corner with 2016 in touching distance.

In this month’s newsletter we’d like to highlight Ofsted’s Common Inspection Framework (CIF) they introduced to schools in September which asks a number of probing areas for consideration around inspecting.

As a partner school of Premier, rest assured that we’re using the CIF headings and principles to challenge and check our own practices including Spiritual, Moral, Cultural and Social Dimensions.

Our primary outcomes are always clear to what we’re contributing in support of your schools uniqueness and distinctiveness as well as being curious enough to find out about your school, your staff, pupils and parents. This is so our contribution is effective and the rationale for your school is clear.

How we support the quality & attainment of children in your PE

Do you ‘PLAY Active’...

Did you know PLAY Active is of one of the programmes within our INSPIRE Programme?

More About PLAY Active - Many children believe themselves to be ‘un-sporty’ because they feel alienated by activities which are focused on win/lose scenarios. Our PLAY Active sessions will encourage fun-based physical activity rather than traditional sports.

The aim of PLAY Active is to encourage non-sporty children to get physically active through structured activities. By placing the emphasis in inclusion rather than sport skills and techniques, children are encouraged to have fun. This in turn improves social skills, self esteem, balance, co-ordination and physical wellbeing.

As an extracurricular programme it can run at any time during the school day –before school, during lunch breaks or as an after school club and a typical session will last around 60 minutes.

If you’re interested in a PLAY Active session, delivered by our team of Activity Professionals, please contact us today.
