We invest significant time and resource every week in the content we bring you via this Weekly News Update. We’re always striving to make sure we provide you with relevant information to support your business.

Do you have questions about the new apprenticeship scheme with Creative Sport & Leisure? Skills & compliance have put some FAQ’s together to help support you with the new process. These can be found on the Resource section of the BMS, under Recruitment and titled ‘Apprenticeship FAQ’s’.

We’ve had 23 business owners access the free six week training programme with many more downloading the recordings via Dropbox. For the people that have tuned in, these sessions are set to accelerate their business growth from September.

The live sessions have featured special guests such as Glenn Hoy, James Ashford and Andy Heald offering expert advice to our franchisees. Monday’s session will focus on Finance and you’ll be joined by Finance Director, Steve Girling.

Year to date, attendances on holiday courses are up 7%. You should already be planning and selling your October half term courses – make sure you’re engaging with parents and children enjoying your summer courses.

The marketing team have created 15 Support Packages all designed to compliment your business in the short and long term. These are guaranteed to support your marketing strategy and prices start from as little as £39.

Since last week’s Weekly News Update we’ve had a further six business owners pre register for the next Social Media course.

If you haven’t yet pre registered and need convincing, here are 10 ways social media marketing will improve your business:

1. Increase brand recognition - Every opportunity you have to share your content and increase your visibility is valuable. Your social media networks are just new channels for your brand.
2. Improve brand loyalty - According to a report published by Texas++Tech University, brands who engage on social media channels enjoy higher loyalty from their customers.
3. More opportunities to convert - Every post you make on a social media platform is an opportunity for customers to convert. When you build a following, you’ll simultaneously have access to new customers, recent customers, and old customers, and you’ll be able to interact with all of them.

If you pay your management fees upfront, you will receive a 10% discount. You will receive a 5% discount if you pay in two equal instalments (one upfront and the other in month seven).

You have three months after your financial year end (August 15) to submit your final accounts. Speak to your accountant now to ensure a plan is place to achieve this deadline.

If you have not accessed any funding this year for holiday courses, you should make this a priority from September. For example, you can offer match funding opportunities* by contacting your local authorities, police and school clusters to seek funding.

The long-anticipated new schools dashboard is nearing completion. The final enhancements were signed off by Danny Melling in mid-August and the development team have been working solidly to ensure it’s ready for the new school year. Once it’s been tested and made live, please lets us know what you think! It would also be great to get your some feedback from your schools as well.
