Dear fellow IDTA member,

I hope you all enjoyed the long Easter break and now feel recharged, reenergized and raring to get back out there!

I had the pleasure of speaking to a number of you over the phone last week and it was great to hear about your existing business and desire to find out more about Premier Performing Arts. Premier Performing Arts is a fantastic opportunity combining a wealth of resources and USP’s, with the established Premier business model.

Did You Know? Schools in the UK utilise outside providers for dance, with 45% using providers for music and 29% for drama.

I know it’s always good to hear from other people that may have been in the same position as you - thinking about expanding or launching a business. That’s one of the reasons why we’ve been sharing case studies of people across the UK that now run successful Premier Performing Arts businesses.

Our latest business owner we’d like to introduce you to is Stuart Hancock, who has been running his Performing Arts venture in Peterborough since January.

After a successful 10 year career performing on TV, in theatres, choreographing and directing internationally, Stuart returned to the UK for a new and exciting challenge. He is now expanding his experience by delivering performing arts in schools across Peterborough.

Following Stuart launching his new business, we asked him why he chose PPA and how things have progressed since then.

“I was looking for a new challenge back home in the UK as I felt it was the right time to return and launch my very own dance business. I did my research and there were few, if none, that offered what Premier Performing Arts (PPA) did. From my initial discussion with the team at PPA I knew this was the right direction for me and my future.

“Since I launched my Premier Performing Arts business in January, I have been overwhelmed by the number of schools I have worked with and their response to my performing arts delivery has been incredible. I’m already delivering curricular PE in schools, and after school clubs which I never imagined I would this soon. Amazingly, I already have schools on a waiting list for me to deliver PE, clubs and shows in the new academic year.

“Schools are moving with the times along with their pupils. Performing Arts is so popular in our culture today. Children are influenced by TV shows such as ‘Britain’s Got Talent’, ‘so you think you can dance’ and ‘X Factor’. Boys dance and even take part in cheerleading. Times have changed and Premier Performing Arts is in tune with both the demands of children and their educational needs.”

Stuart has already featured in the Peterborough Telegraph and the Rutland & Stamford Mercury newspapers within a few weeks of launching his Premier Performing Arts business and we’re certain this is only the start of things to come for Stuart!
