Within the last two newsletters I have had the pleasure of forwarding to you the details of our new franchisees. All of our new franchisees have now completed their induction course and are busy building their businesses.

Although recruiting new franchise owners from external sources and the franchise arena is vital to continuing our expansion across the UK, another key avenue for our long term success is awarding franchises to existing coaches from within the Premier Sport network.

I am therefore very pleased and delighted to announce that we have three Premier Sport coaches who now own their own Premier Sport business and launched in September.

Paul and Steve have purchased their franchise from Gavin Winter and Ryan Yearsley. They were ideally placed to see the potential of the franchise as they have been delivering coaching sessions in the area over the last year. The guys have had to complete the recruitment process which culminated in them producing a business plan, documenting how they are going to build their business in the Stoke region.

Paul and Steve acknowledged that there will be challenges ahead, with the additional responsibilities of being a business owner compared to being a coach, but both are relishing the prospect of taking control and realising their ambition of owning their own business.

Paul commented that if someone had said to him before joining Premier Sport a few years ago, that he would one day own his own sports coaching business he would have thought it impossible. Both guys thank Gavin and Ryan for giving them the opportunity to realise their dreams.

You may be aware that Matt has been successfully managing the day to day operations of the franchise in Oxford but has now invested into the franchise from Ben Thompson.

With Matt taking full control of the franchise, this is the natural next step for Matt as he also realises his ambition of running his own business. Matt demonstrated his understanding of the business by successfully completing the recruitment process which culminated in him presenting his business plan at a Director Interview.

I think you will agree with me this demonstrates that we have a great number of talented individuals within the network who have the attributes to run their own business. If you have a talented coach within your business and you wish to support them, then there are a couple of options you may wish to consider.

How about purchasing another franchise territory in partnership with your coach as a way of expanding your existing coverage?

The second option would be to discuss and agree a development plan involving Premier Sport that would enable the coach the opportunity to invest in their own business in a neighbouring territory over a period. With both of these options, your existing business will be enhanced as you will have a known and trusted business owner next door.
