Welcome to the latest #morethansport newsletter.

Last week I had the pleasure of attending Premier Education Group’s National Training Event in Norfolk.

Over 170 Premier Sport and Premier Performing Arts business owners and Activity Professionals came together to share best practise, attend training sessions and enjoy presentations from the Premier support team, existing franchisees, plus keynote speaker Yvonne Gandy, who shared her vision of the Educational landscape.

It truly was an inspiring couple of days and we all came away confident in the knowledge that why be satisfied with being “Busy, Happy, Good” when the Premier Education Group provides the opportunity to be Outstanding!

I look forward to sharing with you more highlights from the event over the coming weeks.

Kind Regards,

Phil Gaffer

The Golden Mile and ‘Inspire to Compete’ join forces for cross country running event

Last week, Premier Sport created a cross country running event at Ormiston Venture Academy in East Norfolk, linking it to The Golden Mile and our ‘Inspire to Compete’ programme.

Over 200 children took part in the two day event, which saw the local school’s top Golden Mile runners come together for a head to head challenge.

Ross Catchpole, Health & Physical Activity Coordinator in East Norfolk commented:

“Many of the teachers who attended thought it added great value to The Golden Mile and allowed the children to put what they have been practising, into action. There are no other cross country competitions in the area that allows the children to compete against other schools, so this was a real gap in the market-and something we will be carrying out annually.”

A great achievement for five year old... #morethansport

Jonathan Mills, Franchisee in Romford, Dagenham, Barking, and Ilford tells us of five year old, Daisy’s first experience on a Premier Sport event -

“Five year old, Daisy Joyce has just started attending Premier Sport events. As the only girl on the course, she was initially hesitant about attending but her mother tells us her daughter now loves it.

“Daisy was especially delighted at being awarded a certificate presented to her in her school assembly. Her mother says this has given Daisy a huge confidence boost and the certificate has pride of place on her bedroom wall. As her mother said, ‘You can’t put a price on what that has done for her’.

“Well done everybody. You’re doing a great job!”
