HIGH IMPORTANCE Annual Quality and Impact Review of Provision

As highlighted in stage 4 of the PEG CQI process, all our partner schools will be asked to complete the online ‘Annual Quality and Impact Review of School Provision’ survey later next week. To increase the number of schools completing the survey, we’ll be sending this letter to headteachers early next week informing them about the survey.

We’re asking schools to complete the survey by Friday 1st July.

So what would we like you to do? Help us to help you!

We’ll be monitoring the feedback, region by region, so would like you to politely encourage all your schools to complete the survey. The more data we receive the more accurate our findings will be. The results will allow us to guide our national development and future direction of support for Area Leaders, Activity Professionals, as well as contributing to the design and development of our school-based programs and systems for young people.

We’ll send you the link to the survey next week.

We continue to appreciate your support with the CQI model.

HIGH IMPORTANCE Delivering Excellence, Everywhere

Following on from the excellent article written by our Education Advisor, Yvonne Gandy titled ‘Education Excellence Everywhere’; we’ve created our very own ‘Audit Wheel’ for schools to access FREE of charge. This free tool measures and reviews the impact of their own PE and School Sport, whether that’s delivered with / by an external provider or by their own staff. We hope you find it useful and it can help you shape your school improvement plan for next year whilst also creating new and exciting opportunities for all pupils in your schools.

Below is a table to explain how and what we at PEG do to ensure we meet each criteria of the six headline areas from the report ‘Education Excellence, Everywhere’.

Core Value Challenge - Winner #1

A week after launching the first Activity Professional Core Value Video Challenge, we are delighted to share with you our first winner – Marcus Harris from Tim Mills’ franchise.

Marcus made this fantastic video and sent it to a school, so they could play it in assembly before his session. It went down so well with the children, we think it represents Core Value #1 (be happy, have fun and give joy) perfectly.

A huge well done to Marcus, and we hope you enjoy your £250!

#4: Commit to continual improvement

Could One of your Team be our Next Core Value Challenge Winner?

This week its Core Value #2 – Create wonderfully enjoyable experiences. This is something your Activity Professionals should be doing on a daily basis anyway – so we want to hear some of the best examples!

It’s so important to incentivise your employees, and the Core Value Challenge is a great way to do this. Not only does the overall winner receive £250 from Premier HQ – you can also offer an incentive yourself for the best video you receive from your Activity Professionals. So, let’s get everyone on board – it’s time to create some more wonderfully enjoyable experiences!

All you need to do is encourage your team to send over a one minute video of themselves explaining how they have met Core Value #2 this week – and then forward us the best one you receive.

#5: Build a positive team and family spirit

Core Value #2 – Create Wonderfully Enjoyable Experiences

We are focusing on Core Value #2 in this week’s challenge  – create wonderfully enjoyable experiences. It’s what we do every day, and it’s so important to ensure every child that takes part in one of our activities enjoys themselves. Here are some top tips for creating wonderfully enjoyable and memorable experiences:

  1. Be attentive:

Make sure that you pay attention to detail, making every child feel welcomed and valued as part of the team. The same applies for when you interact with their parents and schools – listen to their feedback and concerns, and provide them with effective solutions.

Double record-breaking month for Golden Mile!

We thought April was a record breaking month in Golden Mile’s history but May sees the activity rates continue to soar;

There was a second record broken in May and this time it’s for fundraising! Golden Mile licensee, Doug McArthur set-up and organised a Golden Mile event following a conversation with a parent who was in charge of the schools fundraising. The school supports two charities in South Africa and Swaziland.

The aim for the children was to travel from their school to South Africa. The children clocked up the miles on their Golden Mile track during school time and also used the travel card during weekends, holidays and evenings.

Here is the amazing part, with just 78 children they travelled over 6543 miles and raised £9876 for the two charities. This is certainly a record breaking achievement.

REMINDER: Activity Professional Approval

This is a friendly reminder to ensure all your current Activity Professionals are approved on the BMS system. If they are missing any documentation, thus making those non-compliant please chase this up at your earliest convenience.

We also have a backload of Activity Professionals awaiting documentation from late last year. If you have Activity Professionals that are still not approved or not employed with Premier anymore, please follow this up by uploading the necessary documents or deactivating those not employed with Premier anymore.

We appreciate your cooperation!

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Nicole.
