Norwich 10K: You have raised...

One month on from the Norwich 10K run, we look back at the journey to race day, and how your incredible donations raised £3,687 for disadvantaged Young People across the country.

The Premier Foundation team is made up of sports enthusiasts from all different backgrounds, most of which haven’t involved running in a long time... The challenge we set ourselves was not only to train for our first 10K in most cases, but somehow get race ready in only eight weeks. We decided to document our journey to show how powerful sport can be, you can read more about our journey below:

We would like to thank everyone who donated to help us on our journey, and more importantly thank you for helping us to change the lives of Young People across the country who are living in poverty, are homeless or disadvantaged within their community. Through the power of sport and physical activity we have helped many people to achieve what they previously thought was out of reach. We can’t wait to get stuck into our next challenge and raise even more for our cause!

The Results!

Many of us had never run 10K before, and despite our training, the going was tough. But we all managed to run the entire race, and made some great times!

1. Send a covering letter and voucher to the school – new or existing
2. Send a follow up email to book in taster sessions and send them a copy of our anti bullying eBook
3. Book in your taster session

The Premier network is expanding!

We’re delighted to announce that Premier has two new franchise owners who started their journey with us this month. Daniel Woodvine and Paul Wraith will be operating in the Whitchurch and Mansfield areas respectively.

Daniel Woodvine

Dan is joining Premier with a wealth of experience in sales, customer services and finance. However, his passion for coaching and developing children was developed after teaching ‘soccer’ at Summer camps in Texas. “I always wanted to run a business but I never knew where to start or what I’d want to do! After spending the Summer in Texas coaching and developing children, I knew this is something I wanted to pursue and researched how I could combine my passion for sports with a business model.

Premier were the perfect fit for me. It allows me to be involved with the development of children, while building and running a team at the same time. I’m delighted to be a part of Premier and can’t wait to start making an impact on the local community”.

Paul Wraith

With a strong background in finance, Paul decided to join Premier so he could turn his passion of sport into a business. Teaching and developing children is something he has always wanted to be involved with and saw a Premier franchise as the perfect opportunity to do so. “I joined Premier because two of my best friends, James Jennison and Andrew Mellors have had successful franchises for over 10 years so this was a natural link for me. I have always been passionate about sport and have wanted to get into coaching/teaching children.

I am most looking forward to meeting lots of new people as a franchisee and influencing the next generation of children to become active and healthy!”

We would like to take this opportunity to welcome Daniel and Paul to the network and we’re looking forward to seeing them develop and succeed as Premier franchise owners.
