Suffolk franchise secures Golden Mile funded pilot for new target market...

Good news - Danny Bloomfield’s franchise has secured funding to deliver (via Suffolk County Council’s Adult & Community Service Division) a one year Golden Mile pilot across 10 Suffolk nurseries. The long term goal is to secure further funding to offer Golden Mile to all nurseries, early years settings and primary schools across the whole of Suffolk.

Foxy fighting for his Dad – can you help fight his corner too? #morethansport

On Saturday 6th of June, PEG Director, Karl Fox will take part in a ‘Jackson Williams Corporate Boxing Show’ to raise money for a cause that’s close to him and his family’s heart. Karl will be boxing for his Dad who was sadly diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease just a couple of months ago.

Karl said: “My dad has recently been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, so I will be doing this for him and for all those people and families that have been affected by this terrible illness, hopefully raising some money along the way. All his life, Dad has been a keen sportsman but this will be his toughest match yet, so any donations will be massively appreciated by me and my family. My biggest critic, yet my proudest supporter... this one is for you, Dad.”

Karl would also like to thank the Premier Education Group network for all your kind donations to such a great cause. If you would like to join all the Head Office staff at the event, just drop Karl an email.

If you haven’t done so already, please give generously.

Ofsted urged to boost status of arts subjects

The Creative Industries Federation and the Institution of Civil Engineers have joined forces to call for more students to study both arts and sciences. The campaign group says that Ofsted should judge a school as outstanding only if it can show children are given a wide range of cultural experiences. Also arguing, arts subjects should be given more status in England's school curriculum.

In a report, they argue that creative subjects are as important as science, maths, engineering and technology. The government says it provides a broad and balanced curriculum for children in which the arts play a "key role".

Find it difficult communicating to your schools?

Are you finding schools less easy to communicate with? Have you considered that it may not be you, it could be them?

Glenn Hoy from TIME Associates has undergone new research amongst other companies that provide products and services to schools and had found that teachers are now much more ‘savvy’ towards generic sales jargon.

His advice is to make sure your communications become more ‘human’ so schools can feel your personality shining through. This way, you will find schools are more receptive to the PEG brand and the services you have to offer.
