How Is The Premium Being Used to Enhance Provision?
|
Are your schools ‘funding existing provision’ with the Sport Premium funding or are they ‘adding additional’ events? We’ve taken this reference from the latest Ofsted guidance for schools;
“How is the premium being used to enhance, rather than maintain, existing provision?”
Our network statistics shows the current split between funded extracurricular events compared to parent funded events is 64% / 36% in favour of funded events. Compare that to the same period in 2012 (before the introduction of Sport Premium) when it was 69% / 31%. This is only a difference of 5% but will make a big difference to your cashflow. |

The manual has been updated with all the latest developments including lesson planning, new policies and the Schools Portal. Its new layout is easy for Activity Professionals to refer to and essential for all new starters.
All Activity Professionals will be receiving their own hardcopy manual in the post, so it’s important to make sure that postal addresses are correct and that your workforce is up to date on the BMS. PE Practitioner For Over 30 Years Rates Activity Professional As One Of The Best
|
We receive a letter this week from Gordon Core, a Tutor/Assessor who is responsible for guiding Teaching Assistants through the Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning Diploma course. A vital component of the course is to observe good classroom practice through lesson observations. Activity Professional, John Gorner from the Wigan and Leigh territory was the lesson observed by Gordon and his student. Following the observation, Gordon felt the need to contact us and tell us about John’s delivery.
|
We’ve taken this extract directly from the letter; “I observed my student in a PE lesson led by John Gorner. As a PE practitioner / leader for over 30 years, the session I observed was one of the best I have ever seen. The lesson was fast paced, full of enthusiasm, content filled and, great fun.”
John’s line manger, Danny Melling commented; “John is an outstanding advocate for Premier Sport and is a great example to others”.

Golden Mile Licensees Sign On The Dotted Line...
|
Believe it or not, The Golden Mile license model has now completed its 3rd year and we’re thrilled to say licensees are engaging and working with Local Authorities, MP’s, schools & School Sports Partnerships more than ever before. The penetration rates are also soaring using our successful ‘Community Investment Strategy’.
Licensees are also now getting paid to market their business via Baseline Measurements opposed to being an additional cost like previously. With this in mind, it comes as no surprise that 85% of our very first licensees are now voluntarily opting to renew their Golden Mile agreements even before their Premier Sport renewals, where Golden Mile becomes a mandatory part of the package.
|
Finally, we’d like to welcome Ian Wilkes to The Golden Mile family, Ian has also decided to become a licensee and start the Olympic year with a bang and take Gold!!!

Our Core Values...
#10: Be outstanding and passionate in everything we do

This series of targeted emails will increase your conversion rates, save you time and reduce your marketing efforts across your business. They are completely personalised to you and your customers based on the information held within the BMS and what you’ve supplied us, upon request.
Within the guidance below, we’ve highlighted the sections in red that you need to be aware of. There are two sections you need to pay close attention to as these sections feed directly from the information you input on the BMS. These fields will need to be populated for every course, if you wish for information to be seen by your customers.
|
Your distribution list feeds directly from the BMS and it’s updated in real time, meaning you don’t have to do a thing!
This series of emails will go live next week.

Managing Your Growth
|
Over the past few weeks, Glenn Hoy from TIME Associates has been working with six new franchisees as well as some very experienced and successful business owners. The common question and dilemma, whether old or new, is how to ‘manage growth with new school acquisitions’.
Glenn commented; “The temptation to stop sales activities to manage workloads has to be a fine balance set against the potential risk of starting up again a few weeks or months later only to find that schools are not as keen to meet and or work with you and your ability to deliver.”
